ProHealth Care is planning a building addition and renovation at its Waukesha Memorial Hospital campus.
The health system plans to construct a building addition on the hospital’s north wing to accommodate registration and waiting areas for clinical services on the wing’s second floor, according to plans submitted to the city. The second floor of the north wing will also be remodeled.
ProHealth also plans to rebuild the hospital’s east entry canopy to cover patient and transit vehicle traffic and enlarge the lobby to accommodate outpatient entry. The east entry site will also be reconstructed to improve traffic flow.
The project will add about 6,500 square feet to the hospital at 725 American Ave., according to plans submitted to the city. It will not result in any new hires, the health system said. ProHealth did not disclose the cost of the project.
The plan commission will consider the plans on Jan. 23.
ProHealth opened a new 37,000-square foot outpatient heart and vascular center on the west side of the hospital in October 2018.
