Press Club to host Bradley Center discussion

The topic of the Milwaukee Press Club’s next Behind the Headlines is “The push for a new arena in downtown Milwaukee.”

The event will focus on the controversial proposal for a new arena to replace Milwaukee’s aging BMO Harris Bradley Center. Community leaders have been discussing the potential project, and how the $300 million cost would sit with residents in Milwaukee County and surrounding counties.

A panel of experts will be interviewed by local journalists. The panelists are: Marc Marotta, chairman of the Bradley Center board of directors, Milwaukee Alderman Michael Murphy and Gary Witt, executive director of the Pabst Theater Foundation.

The luncheon discussion will be held on April 17, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on the court at the BMO Harris Bradley Center, 1001 N. 4th St. in Milwaukee. It is open to the public, and includes complimentary parking. Tours of the Bradley Center will follow the event.
