Pinstripe & Ochre House changes name

Brookfield-based Pinstripe & Ochre House, a global talent acquisition and management firm, has changed its name to Cielo.

The company was formed when Brookfield-based Pinstripe Inc. merged with London-based Ochre House in July 2013. Since then, the companies have been integrating their services.

“Today’s announcement represents an important milestone for our company, our customers and our global team as we continue to work as one company to deliver remarkable business outcomes,” said Sue Marks, chief executive officer of Cielo. “We recognize that, in today’s business environment, the impact of talent is rising as never before, separating the leaders from the laggards. Spanish for ‘sky,’ Cielo represents ascendance and unlimited opportunity. We know that when an organization has the very best talent, perfectly aligned with its vision, strategy and culture, the sky truly is the limit.”

Cielo has almost 1,000 employees worldwide and specializes in developing comprehensive talent solutions for each client.

Along with the name change, Cielo released its first annual Cielo Talent Activation Index.

The index included responses from more than 750 senior human resources and talent executives worldwide.

Among those in high-performing organizations, 71 percent rated their workforce strategies as “excellent” when it comes to supporting the organization’s objectives over the next three years. And 69 percent of high-performers feel their organization is “very prepared” to adapt to changing workforce demands and the new generation of employees.

The survey found eight factors that contributed to the high performers’ success: Embracing work-life balance; using data and analytics to create workforce strategies; using sophisticated metrics to measure workforce quality; quantifying the business impact of workforce; embracing cultural diversity; applying workforce segmentation models to planning and decision making; motivating and managing workers of all generations effectively; and utilizing an effective value proposition to attract top talent.
