The company will move from 6,814 square feet at 241 N. Broadway to about 12,000 square feet at 181 N. Broadway.

“We made the decision in 2013 that we were going to purchase a building to occupy,” said Randy Elliot, Pierce Engineers co-owner. “The Third and Fifth Wards are so active and a lot of our clients are there. This is the place we want to be for the next 20 to 30 years.”

On Oct. 31, the company will also move its Madison office from 10 West Mifflin Street to 222 W. Washington Avenue, Suite 650.

“These office moves stem from PE’s unprecedented growth in the past couple of years and will allow for continued growth in the future,” Elliot said.

Pierce Engineers, Inc. (PE) was founded by Richard Pierce in 1991. PE has grown from a single person structural engineering firm to a staff of 45 working on a varying range of building types, with projects located across numerous states.

In March 2014, Elliot purchased the former Kramer Foundry building at 170 S. 1st St. in Walker’s Point for $1.15 million. Current tenants include Collectivo Coffee and Stack’d Burger Bar. At the time, Elliot was planning to move his company to that location, but he is now using the building as an investment property, he said Thursday.
