Vincent Flores was hired to lead Milwaukee Downtown’s Public Service Ambassador (PSA) program. Prior to his appointment, Flores was director of school safety and security for Milwaukee Public Schools and served 25 years for the Milwaukee Police Department rising to the ranks of Inspector of Police.
Consulting
Tom Palzewicz of ActionCOACH of Elm Grove, received the Global Action Man Award at the ActionCOACH Global Conference in Sydney, Australia. The Action Man award recognizes top achievement in the promotion, growth and implementation of ActionCOACH.
Richard Koenig joined the Milwaukee office of GRAEF as a plumbing project engineer in the Milwaukee Facilities Group.

The Music Department at Concordia University Wisconsin, Mequon appointed Dr. Alexa Doebele as assistant professor of music and director of choral activities.
Health Care
ProHealth Care hired gynecologic oncologist Dr. Janet Drake, who now sees patients at Waukesha Memorial Hospital and will begin seeing patients at Oconomowoc Memorial Hospital in fall 2009.
Extendicare Health Services, Inc., Milwaukee, hired Roberta Taylor and Charmaine Gee as insurance billing analysts; and April Ollie, Medicaid billing coordinator in the accounts receivable department; Cathryn Plachinski, pay roll specialist in the payroll department and Zulay Calero joined Virtual Care Provider, Inc., a subsidiary of Extendicare, as an operations analyst.
Carrie Killoran has joined Aurora Health Care, Milwaukee, as vice president and chief compliance and integrity officer. Killoran will have responsibility for all of Aurora’s compliance programs.

Z. Julie Lee, a member of Foley and Lardner LLP’s International and Tax & Employee Benefits Practices and the Automotive and Energy Industry Teams, was appointed to the Wisconsin International Trade Council by Governor Jim Doyle. The council was created to advise the governor, the secretaries for the Department of Commerce and the Department of Agriculture, Trade and Consumer Protection (DATCP) in the development of international trade.
Thomas DeMuth has joined the Milwaukee Office of Mallery & Zimmerman, S.C. DeMuth will practice with the office’s real estate, corporate and lending groups. He has extensive experience with loan workouts.

Professional Organizations
The Milwaukee Jewish Federation elected Jerry Benjamin as its new president. Benjamin, a principal in Glendale-based A.B. Data, Ltd., has long been active in Jewish causes in Milwaukee and has served on the federation’s board of directors for more than a decade. Benjamin succeeds Bruce A. Arbit, who served as president for three years. Other officers elected include: vice presidents Frederick Croen, Idy Goodman, Betsy Green, Moshe Katz, Keith Lindenbaum, David J. Lubar and Mitchell Moser; treasurer Marci Taxman; and secretary Scott Sampson.
