Paul J. Jones, the chief legal and chief compliance officer of Harley-Davidson Inc., is leaving the company on Nov. 29.
The Milwaukee-based motorcycle maker disclosed the departure in an SEC filing late last week.
“As Paul moves on to his next professional ventures, the company wishes him well with our gratitude and respect for his many contributions during his time with Harley-Davidson. The company is executing a search for an individual to fill this leadership role,” the filing said.
Jones, who is also vice president and secretary at Harley, joined the company as general counsel in 2010 from Regal Beloit Corp.
Locally, Jones serves on the board of Junior Achievement of Wisconsin, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society-Wisconsin Chapter, the Greater Milwaukee Foundation and Near West Side Partners. He has also been on a number of industry boards and committees nationally and internationally.
Jones has an MBA from Northwestern University, a law degree from Georgetown University and undergraduate degree from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
In 2018, Jones had a salary of $512,076 and total compensation of $2.27 million, according to Harley’s securities filings.
