Milwaukee area companies go pink in support of Komen race
As sponsors of Sunday’s Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, Kohl’s department stores across the state and the Milwaukee Art Museum have gone pink. All Wisconsin Kohl’s store entrances will display a pink ribbon through Sunday, Sept. 26. All light posts at the Kohl’s corporate headquarters in Menomonee Falls and light posts along the Race for the Cure route also have the pink ribbons. The Milwaukee Art Museum has also partnered with Susan G. Komen Foundation to honor the participants of the 2010 Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. In addition to dying the fountains in front of the museum pink, the Museum will offer race participants free admission to the museum on Sunday, Sept. 26 and breast cancer survivor participants will receive free admission throughout the month of October.
“We are thrilled to be working with the Susan G. Komen Foundation again this year,” said Daniel Keegan, director of the Milwaukee Art Museum. “It’s an honor to have our beautiful facility serve as the starting point for this highly-successful annual race.”
The Museum will also host an outdoor tent where participants will receive discounted admission coupons for European Design Since 1985, the Museum’s newest feature exhibition.
