Oak Creek-based Kuehne Company has been acquired by St. Louis, Missouri-based Apex Commercial Construction, Inc. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed. Kuehne Company provides landscaping, guardrail and signs for highway, road, bridge, and commercial construction projects. With the transition to new ownership, Kuehne Company will be Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) and Minority-Owned (MBE) certified.

Kuehne Company is also working on expanding its workforce and is “aggressively seeking new partnerships,” according to their website.
Apex Commercial Construction is a commercial construction business. They provide construction services and products for roads, highways, bridges, and commercial developments. Following this acquisition, Kuehne Company will continue to be based in Oak Creek and will retain all 20 union and non-union employees. Kuehne Company is now a division of Apex Commercial Construction.
Apex Commercial Construction has also appointed William (Ken) Buford as the president of the Kuehne Company. Buford and his family are relocating to the Milwaukee area.
