Patti Blaschka, vice president and shareholder of Milwaukee-based Robertson Ryan Insurance, has excelled in the male-dominated insurance industry, serving as a strong advocate for women and also for diversity and inclusion, while fostering a positive corporate culture and philanthropic efforts, said Allan Degner, vice president at Robertson Ryan.
“Her exceptional critical thinking, insurance expertise and strategic leadership shine through, accompanied by her class, charisma, competence and care,” Degner said.
Blaschka began her insurance career in claims management at Wausau Insurance Co., later moving to property and casualty insurance company Chubb as an underwriter. In 2008, she became an agent at Veitenhaus Insurance Services, eventually co-owning the agency.
Blaschka joined Robertson Ryan as an agent owner when the firm acquired Veitenhaus in 2016. In 2021, Blaschka became Robertson Ryan’s first female shareholder.
Her philanthropic endeavors earned her the inaugural Jack Ryan Community Service Award for her dedication to animal welfare and support for nonprofits. In 2022, Blaschka helped launch the Robertson Ryan Charitable Foundation, and currently serves as its president.
