Dr. Nicole Salvo is an OB/GYN and director of the Aurora Health Care OB/GYN Residency Program at Aurora Sinai Medical Center in Milwaukee.
Affiliated with Aurora Health Care since 2009, Salvo specializes in high-risk pregnancies and is an advocate for maternal health issues. Her expertise in treating placenta accreta has helped many mothers through a rare and difficult diagnosis, and even saved the lives of one mother and her baby during an early emergency delivery.
“She is also committed to advancing health equity and ensuring that mothers of all backgrounds have access to pre- and post-delivery care for those historically underserved in Milwaukee,” said Matt Queen, who handles public affairs for Aurora Health Care. “She is a published medical researcher and her passion for teaching helps elevate the expertise of her teammates.”
Salvo’s greatest passions are caring for “marginalized individuals in the health care community, complex surgeries, and (medical) resident education,” according to an interview published by the Milwaukee Athletic Club, where she is a member.
