Volunteers honored for their passion and commitment
The Badger Association of the Blind and Visually Impaired recently honored seven volunteers for their commitment to furthering the opportunities for children and adults living with vision loss in the community. They include:  Mike Aprahamian, Foley & Lardner; Ruthiea Renfro, Rosy Goodrich, Cheri Steinke, Elaine and Tom Lindstrom, Lisa Konkel, and Home Depot for their collaborative work this past year.  Currently, there are over 60,000 people in the Southeastern Wisconsin who are blind or visually impaired.  This number is expected to double in the next decade, and double again in the following decade as the baby boomer population ages.
