*Monday, Nov. 18, Atonement Lutheran School will host a flu shot clinic with a Walgreens pharmacist onsite to administer vaccinations. Children ages 7-18 can be vaccinated free of charge as part of the state’s Vaccines for Children program. Parents must be present and must bring their insurance cards. A limited number of free vouchers will also be available for uninsured adults needing a flu shot. The clinic will run from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the school, located at 4224 W. Ruby Ave. in Milwaukee (north entrance).

*Tuesday, Nov. 19, BoardStar will present “Orientation Express,” a workshop focused on the basics of board operations. The training session will cover the main responsibilities of a board, how the board’s role is distinct from a nonprofit staff’s role, how the board contributes to policies and planning, expectations of board committees, and how to run efficient and effective board meetings. The workshop will begin at 5:30 p.m. at the Humane Animal Welfare Society, located at 701 Northview Rd. in Waukesha. Cost to attend is $35 for BoardStar members and $50 for non-members. *Thursday, Nov. 21, the Nonprofit Center of Milwaukee will present a free legal clinic at Marquette University Law School, located at 1215 W. Michigan St. in Milwaukee. The clinic will offer nonprofits assistance with filings, fundraising registration, bylaws updates, contracts, negotiations, employment law and more from M-LINC attorneys and attorney volunteers. The clinic will run from noon to 3 p.m. Interested nonprofits must book a clinic appointment. *Tuesday, Nov. 26, Literacy Services of Wisconsin will hold a volunteer orientation for individuals interested in learning more about how they can contribute to the organization’s tutoring services. The orientation will cover the nonprofit organization’s mission and literacy programs. Attendees will not be required to make a volunteer commitment at the orientation. The meeting will run from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at the nonprofit’s office, located at 555 N. Plankinton Ave. in Milwaukee.
