The Milwaukee office of New York Life will add 12 new field agents by the end of the year, the company announced today.
Mike Bui, managing partner of the Milwaukee general office, said the hiring push will have a focus on diversity. The Milwaukee office currently has seven employees and 50 field agents.
“It’s essential that our agent force reflects the diversity of the communities we serve,” he said. “Last year, nearly two-thirds of our new agent hires were women or minorities. We remain committed to hiring and supporting women and individuals serving the African-American, Chinese, Hispanic, Korean, South Asian, and Vietnamese markets in the United States.”
New York City-based New York Life is the largest mutual life insurance company in the country based on revenue, and has operations in all 50 states. The company has a total of 9,000 employees and 12,000 sales agents, who are based in 120 sales offices nationwide. The company has been doing business in Wisconsin since 1845.
“There’s never been a better time to become a New York Life agent,” Bui said. “With sales at a record high last year, you have the opportunity for significant income potential while creating your own work schedule. Our agents also benefit from the extensive training and support New York Life offers to new and experienced agents. Overall, it’s a high-potential career path that makes you feel good about what you do: helping people achieve their financial goals and dreams.”
