The Milwaukee Economic Development Commission has launched a new Web site, www.medconline.com. The site is geared toward small businesses, entrepreneurs and banks.
MEDC is a non-profit organization that promotes economic development for the Milwaukee area. It provides gap lending – programs designed to fill the gap between the amount of capital a business can raise and the funds the lending community will provide.
The site provides loan information, including current interest rates, a loan calculator, data on recent loan approvals, and links to other business financial resources.
Sprecher Bertalot & Co., a Milwaukee-based marketing communications firm, has launched a new Web site, www.sprecherbertalot.com. The new site offers a soundtrack as well as new Flash technology.
Byte Studios, a Web and multimedia development company in Milwaukee, has launched cityonthelake.com as its first “embryonic” development. The site is an online guide for Milwaukee, with a variety of interactive local content. Visitors are able to post reviews of any business or attraction, including movies and shows. Daily content includes daily custard flavors, festival events and movie listings. There is also an opt-in newsletter that includes local updates and the ability to e-mail a visitor when his or her favorite custard flavor is at a nearby stand. Site editor Nancy Julson said cityonthelake.com will be the first self-sustaining development from Byte Studios, but that it does not rely on advertising as a major source of funding.
Ladish Co. of Cudahy has announced that its Diecast Tooling operation in Racine has established a Web site, www.ladtool.com. It contains information about the company’s shot-end tooling manufacturing and refurbishment capabilities, and includes pages for company information and contacts. There are also links to other Ladish companies.
Polacheck Property Management Corp., the property management arm of The Polacheck Co., has launched a new section on the Polacheck Web site, www.polacheckmgmt.com. In the future, the company will provide property management information through the Web in a secure environment.
The Milwaukee Catholic Home has launched its new Web site, www.milwaukeecatholichome.org. The site offers information about retirement living, skilled nursing, adult day-care and assisted living as the home.
