Associated Bank has opened its new Private Client Services Office in the Milwaukee Center building in downtown Milwaukee.
The public first floor and mezzanine office at 815 N. Water St. is staffed by 11 private bankers and opened about a month ago after a complete remodel, said Susan Pickering, senior vice president, Private Banking Group Manager.
Associated’s Milwaukee Center space in total encompasses about 14,000 square feet on three floors of the building, which Associated has owned since 2006. There are 44 employees in the building from the private banking, personal trust, investment management and retirement plan services departments. The Green Bay-based bank previously had a branch in the space, which closed in 2012 as part of a 20-branch reduction.
The Private Client Services Office buildout was designed by Milwaukee-based Rinka Chung Architecture Inc. and completed by JH Findorff and Son Inc. The finishes are modern, with marble desks, leather chairs and sleek chandeliers. But there are also homey touches, such as table lamps, hanging fabric, plenty of couches with pillows and a client entertainment space complete with kitchenette.
The client meeting rooms are outfitted with wet bars and large monitors for presentations. Artwork by Madison artist Tommy Sweeney displayed throughout the space combines historic and modern Milwaukee architectural features.
A boardroom that will be used for two of the quarterly board meetings has a dramatic split marble table and a 90-inch monitor to display presentations.
Any client can use the space, Pickering said. Most of the Private Client Services customers come through referrals and prospecting.
Associated Bank will hold an open house on Thursday to show off the space to clients.
