Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele and Milwaukee County Parks this week announced multiple food and beverage changes at Bradford Beach, including a new partnership with The Dock.
CCH Management LLC (The Dock) will operate the food and beverage concessions at Bradford Beach, including the beach tiki huts and special events.
The Dock, which also currently operates a beachside restaurant at Montrose Beach in Chicago, is bringing a new menu to Bradford Beach. The menu is expected to include: tempura fish tacos, yellowfin tuna steak and grass-fed burgers, and a kids menu. The Dock will also sell beer, wine, and cocktails.
Milwaukee County Parks will enter a five-year contract agreement with The Dock. It will include a profit-sharing agreement and a Parks Improvement Fund, which will be used to preserve and improve the Bradford pavilion and beach. Proposed enhancements for 2019 and 2020 include additional seating, bar deck extensions, live music, and European beer garden style shade umbrellas. The partnership is currently pending approval from the Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors.
The Dock will also join Bradford Beach by Volley Life, who will organize volleyball leagues and tournaments at Bradford Beach.
“Residents and tourists that come to Milwaukee County beaches will have a variety of options to dine and drink along the water this summer,” said Abele. “The Dock partnership at Bradford Beach will bring even more visitors and economic impact to the community, and I look forward to seeing what great options are in store for us this summer.”
In addition, the Northpoint Custard and burger stand is under a new operator. The Musa family, who own and operate Casablanca on Brady Street, has recently taken over the former Northpoint stand on Bradford Beach. The popular cow print painted stand will now be called MooSa’s.
“We are excited with the opportunity on running the Northpoint,” said Casablanca’s Nas Musa.
The stand will keep the same concepts, but will be adding more to the menu, as well as the possibility of delivery, according to Musa.
Northpoint was previously operated by Bartolotta Restaurant Group, which recently announced its notice of intent from Milwaukee County to operate the McKinley Marina Roundhouse.
