More spec industrial buildings planned in Pleasant Prairie

Previously planned buildings now moving forward

Two long-planned speculative developments are moving forward in Pleasant Prairie, adding to the list of large industrial buildings that have been built in Kenosha County in recent years.

Illinois developer Venture One Real Estate plans to begin phase one of Riverview Corporate Park, located east of I-94, south of Premium Outlets. The first phase will include three buildings: one 105,000 square feet on nine acres, one 166,090 square feet on 10 acres and one 120,065 square feet with a potential 101,000-square-foot expansion on 11.5 acres.

The village approved the original conceptual plan for Riverview Corporate Park in September 2013. On Monday, the plan commission approved updates to the master conceptual plan. A timeline for the project has not been set.

The second project is a 424,164-square-foot speculative building on the east side of 88th Avenue (Highway H), about a quarter mile south of Bain Station Road. Industry, Calif.-based Majestic Reality Co., is planning the development and has tentative plans to construct a second building on the southern portion of the property, according to a press release from the village.

Original plans approved in May 2013, called for a 1.2 million-square-foot building. On Monday, the village approved preliminary site and operational plans and a development agreement for Majestic Reality Co. Final site and operational plans are expected to be presented in the near future.
