Mondi Akrosil to close Pleasant Prairie facility

Mondi Akrosil LLC, a division of London and Vienna-based international packaging and paper company Mondi plc, informed state officials that it plans to close its Pleasant Prairie facility at 7201 108th St. The closure of the facility will result in the termination of 108 employees, the company said. Mondi Akrosil LLC, a division of London and Vienna-based international packaging and paper company Mondi plc, informed state officials that it plans to close its Pleasant Prairie facility at 7201 108th St. The closure of the facility will result in the termination of 108 employees, the company said. It plans to lay off the employees on a rolling basis, beginning around Feb. 1, 2021, through July 1, 2021, when the facility will be permanently closed. The employees are not represented by a union. Mondi Akrosil announced in 2010 that it planned to purchase the 168,879-square-foot Pleasant Prairie facility, which was formerly a factory for Permacel, which shut down that operation in 2009.
