Molson Coors Brewing Co. appointed David Heede as interim chief financial officer and principal financial officer, effective Nov. 16. Heede is currently the chief financial officer of Molson Coors Europe.
Denver-based Molson Coors Brewing Co. is the parent company of Chicago-based MillerCoors, which brews much of its beer in Milwaukee.
As interim CFO, Heede will sit on the Molson Coors Executive Leadership Team until completion of the process to select a new permanent successor for Gavin Hattersley, who became chief executive officer of MillerCoors LLC in September.
Heede has held senior leadership positions with Molson Coors in sales, strategy, finance and procurement over the course of 30 years. He was finance director on the U.K. board of Molson Coors before taking up his current role as CFO of Molson Coors Europe in 2013. With business unit leadership accountability for finance, IT and strategy, Heede played a central role in the integration of Molson Coors’ Central European and U.K .businesses.
“With more than 30 years experience across a range of senior commercial and financial roles with Molson Coors, David has exceptional knowledge of our business,” said Mark Hunter, CEO of Molson Coors. “An outstanding, highly respected leader, David is the ideal person to fill Gavin’s shoes as global chief financial officer while we complete the search for a permanent successor.”
Compensation terms for Heede’s interim appointment have not been determined.
