The Milwaukee Wave of Hope, the charitable arm of Milwaukee’s professional indoor soccer team, hosted “A Reason for Hope” to benefit the Milwaukee Wave of Hope Foundation and Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. Tickets for this one-of-a-kind event were sold out prior to any invitations even being mailed. The event raised over $54,000 in its first year. Proceeds benefit the Making Waves program and Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin. Making Waves is the Milwaukee Wave’s three-part educational outreach, which last year directly connected with more than 20,000 area youth at more than 70 schools. The Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin School Health Services provides in school comprehensive primary and preventative healthcare to medically underserved children at over 40 schools in Milwaukee.
