The positions will be added at the company’s Greenwood, Miss. facility. Ten of the jobs have been filled and the rest will be filled by the end of the year.

Milwaukee Tool invested $16.8 million into the Greenwood operations last year, adding 126 jobs. The company will have 583 employees at the facility and 1,320 in the state of Mississippi.

“Milwaukee Tool is a major economic driver for Greenwood and the Mississippi Delta region,” Mississippi Gov. Phil Bryant said. “This latest expansion reinforces the company’s commitment to the people of Greenwood and the local community.”

Milwaukee Tool has been undergoing significant growth over the last decade with a focus on new products and serving its core users. BizTimes detailed the company’s growth in a March cover story.

The company is also in the midst of expanding its headquarters in Brookfield, adding a 200,000-square-foot office building that will make room for 500 new jobs. The project is supported by up to $18 million in state tax credits and a $6 million tax incremental financing district through the city of Brookfield.

A subsidiary of Hong Kong-based Techtronic Industries Co., Milwaukee Tool designs and engineers its products in Brookfield while manufacturing them in Mississippi and other locations around the world.
