Milwaukee Milkmen reschedule home opener

Weather-related ballpark construction delays force schedule change

This year’s harsh winter weather has led to construction delays for Routine Field, the ballpark in Franklin that will be the home of the Milwaukee Milkmen minor league baseball team and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee’s baseball team.

As a result, the Milkmen’s first five home series have been rescheduled to Kokomo Municipal Stadium in Kokomo, Indiana. Kokomo Municipal Stadium is home to the Kokomo Jackrabbits.

The Milkmen series affected by the location change are:

  • May 24-26 vs Chicago Dogs
  • May 31-June 2 vs Lincoln Saltdogs
  • June 3-6 vs Kansas City T-Bones
  • June 11-13 vs Sioux Falls Canaries
  • June 14-16 vs Winnipeg Goldeyes

Fans that have purchased ticket packages including those games are able to make adjustments. Season ticket holders will receive a pro-rated refund based on 16 fewer games scheduled for Routine Field this season.

The Milkmen’s Routine Field home opener is now scheduled for Monday, June 24 against the Gary SouthShore Railcats.

Routine Field is being constructed at The Rock Sports Complex and will be a 4,000-seat stadium.
