Milwaukee Make-A-Difference Day

The Volunteer Center of Milwaukee will host Make-A-Difference day on Saturday, Nov. 7.

Hundreds of volunteers will help older adults prepare for the winter months by raking leaves, cleaning windows, clearing gardens, putting up storm windows and other small projects.

A continental breakfast at Washington Park Senior Center will kick off the event at 8 a.m. which will last until 1 p.m.

Last year, more than 1,000 volunteers made a difference across Milwaukee County by helping at the homes of 350 older adults who are served by the Interfaith Older Adult Programs.

The volunteer activity is open to family, large group or small group volunteers. Anyone interested can visit The Volunteer Center website or contact Debbie Knepke, corporate and events manager at (414) 273-7887 prior to Nov. 2.
