Milwaukee creative agencies merge

In a merger of two of Milwaukee’s dynamic marketing agencies, 2-Story Creative has acquired Weiss & Company.

The 2-Story name will be retained, and 2-Story founder Ellen Homb will be the sole owner of the combined firm. Jenny Weiss, owner of Weiss & Company, joins the merged firm as vice president of strategic communication, along with Jessica Himsel, vice president of creative strategy and marketing.

Six Weiss & Company employees have joined the merged company at 2-Story’s headquarters at 641 W. National Ave.

The merged company has a client list that includes the Milwaukee Brewers, Johnson Financial Group, YMCA of Metropolitan Milwaukee, Milwaukee Habitat for Humanity, General Mitchell International Airport, the Milwaukee Metropolitan Sewerage District, the City of Milwaukee, the Milwaukee Public Library, Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Milwaukee, the Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital Foundation and Brewers Community Foundation.

“We were two small agencies both looking for growth opportunities. What we found in each other was highly complementary philosophies, services and client rosters. We’re pairing the best in marketing and creative expertise with the best in public relations, communications and community outreach services,” Homb and Weiss said in a joint statement. “We believe both existing and new clients will be attracted to and benefit from our expanded array of offerings. And now, we probably even have enough people to start our own agency kickball team.”
