On March 29, 2013, the Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty (WILL) filed open records requests with the City of Milwaukee in an attempt to find out what, if anything, the City and Milwaukee Public Schools are doing about the many unused school buildings that have sat idle for years.
The city refuses to use its power to directly name and sell unused school buildings, according to Rick Esenberg and C.J. Szafir, authors of Wednesday’s Milwaukee Biz Blog.
