Glendale-based
MicroSynergies, LLC, a microbial biotechnology company specializing in the procurement, formulation, scientific research, import, export, and blending and packaging of beneficial organisms, is planning to move to a larger headquarters in Glendale.
Glendale Plan Commission documents show the company plans to lease approximately 10,000 square feet of space at 6661-6665 N. Sidney Place. MicroSynergies will move its company headquarters and expanded blending and packaging operations to this location.
The company’s current headquarters is approximately 3,000 square feet and located at 2201 W. Bender Road.
“MS operates in a dynamic market that is rapidly expanding and we will hire commensurate with that growth,” according to submitted Plan Commission documents. “MS is in the midst of completing our strategic plan with an expected revenue CAGR of 28% annually for the next five years.”
The company has seen notable growth, earning an
honorable mention in the growth category of the 2021 MMAC Focus on the Future awards.
“Our blending and packaging business is growing considerably and we’re very, very cramped,” said Barry Keller, CEO of MicroSynergies. “We’re increasing our production footprint and office space."
The company has hired three people this year and Keller said there is potential to add more people. MicroSynergies currently has five employees. The business does not handle any hazardous substances. All of their products contain beneficial bacteria, such as bacteria, yeasts and fungi. MicroSynergies leadership expects to have a facility certification in 2023 that will validate their operational processes. The company will be moved into its new headquarters by June 16.
“Most people don’t know that southeastern Wisconsin is like the Silicon Valley of bacteria producers. Most of the major global players in the cultures or bacteria world are located in this region,” Keller said.
