Seattle-based actuarial and consulting firm Milliman Inc. will be the anchor tenant of a 6-story, 186,000-square-foot office building that Milwaukee-based Irgens plans to build at its mixed-use The Corridor development northwest of I-94 and Calhoun Road in Brookfield. Milliman will occupy 118,300 square feet of space in the building, one of two new class A office buildings planned at The Corridor. The office building area of The Corridor is called Golf Parkway Corporate Center. In addition to the 6-story, 186,000-square-foot office building that will be anchored by Milliman, there will also be a 2-story, 45,000-square-foot office building that will be occupied by Hydrite Chemical Co., a deal Irgens announced on Wednesday. Milliman will move its Brookfield office, currently located at 15800 W. Bluemound Road, to the larger building at Golf Parkway Corporate Center. Hydrite Chemical is also moving there from its current Brookfield location. "Milliman is excited to be partnering with Irgens on this project," said Andrew Bainbridge, director of administration for Milliman. "Its location and overall design are very appealing to our local leaders and we feel this will enhance our already award-winning workplace culture. We are eager to move forward together to construct a next-generation workplace for our dynamic employees." The company was represented by Bill Bonifas of CBRE in its lease negotiations with Irgens. Construction of the building will begin this fall and is expected to be complete in the summer of 2022. Kahler Slater is the architect and CG Schmidt the general contractor for the project. "It is an honor to have this quality and high value employer in our project," Irgens executive vice president Tom Irgens said of Milliman. "We share Milliman's vision of creating a safe and healthy workplace with visibility, efficiencies and most of all amenities for its team members." The Milliman lease leaves about 67,700 square feet of space available in the Golf Parkway Corporate Center's larger building. The 35,000-square-foot top floor of the building remains available and additional spaces ranging from 7,000 to 17,000 square feet are also available, according to Irgens.
