MillerCoors’ new beer, Miller Fortune, will hit shelves on Feb. 10.
Karina Diehl, communications manager at MillerCoors, said the new product, a bourbon-like beer, will be officially unveiled on Feb. 10, with the advertising and marketing campaign for the new beverage beginning March 3.
“Miller Fortune is an un-distilled, spirited golden lager with a richer, balanced taste,” said Diehl. “It’s brewed with specially-roasted caramel malt that elicits the flavor profile of a brown spirit.”
Miller Fortune, which is being released in an effort to compete with spirits, will have a higher alcohol content than most beers, at 6.9 percent, said Diehl. A six-pack of the beverage will cost roughly $6.99, depending on the market, she said.
Confirming reports from Bloomberg, Diehl said Fortune will be distributed wider and faster than any MillerCoors introduction since 2008.
