A microbrewery with taproom and beer garden is being proposed for a vacant storefront across from West Allis City Hall, according to city documents.
Perspective Brewing LLC submitted an application with the city to open the microbrewery at 7506-7508 W.. Greenfield Ave., a city report states. Perspective Brewing will sell both alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages for craft beer enthusiasts and health-conscious adults alike, the report states.
The interior taproom would seat up to 39 people. Small snacks such as charcuterie boards, popcorn and pretzels would be available. An outdoor beer garden could seat another 28 people, and space will be provided for a food truck to park and serve the brewery patrons.
The brewery will combine the two existing tenant spaces with the removal of an interior wall. A portion of the floor in the building's southeastern section would be removed, and the exposed area will be protected with a guardrail and provide patrons with a view of the lower-level brewhouse/tanks.
Perspective Brewing plans to open with four employees and expand as demand requires.
The City Plan Commission will consider the proposal next week Wednesday. A public hearing for a special use permit is scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 15.
