The Medical Society of Milwaukee County recently announced a $100,000 donation to the Milwaukee County Housing First program during its annual awards dinner at the Wisconsin Club. The donation will fund two part-time housing health navigators, provide onsite health screenings for the homeless and place Medical Society Board Members on the Community Justice Council. The gift represents the Medical Society of Milwaukee’s largest donation in its history.
The Medical Society also recognized Milwaukee County executive Chris Abele, Dr. Barbara Horner-Ibler, Bob Burmeister of Mr. Bob’s Under the Bridge, and medical student Megan Cory during the dinner.
