James Jagler, a student of the Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) and resident of Oak Creek, was awarded a $2,000 scholarship from the Clifford H. “Ted” Rees Jr. Scholarship Foundation. The foundation was created to support future heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration (HVACR) technicians.
Keith Coursin, president of Foundation-supporter Desert Aire, presented the check to Jagler.
“Desert Aire is honored to support the next generation of industry technicians,” Coursin said. “A qualified work force will ensure that our products are installed and perform properly and provide a successful career for thousands of new technicians.”
Jagler is the first Milwaukee-area student to be awarded the scholarship from the Washington, D.C.-based foundation.
