Marquette University’s athletics program will begin using an online platform called Game Plan this fall to connect student athletes with job opportunities as well as personal and professional development resources.
Marquette’s version of the online platform, called “Marquette Map,” will give student athletes a specific curriculum and identify certain personal and professional development requirements to accomplish over their four years on campus.
The platform will help students choose potential career paths after their college athletic careers end through tests designed to identify their interests and certain personality traits.
The Marquette Map will also have a career portal that will help place student athletes in jobs after graduation. The platform will also help Marquette’s athletic department better track job placement for student athletes and manage opportunities.
“Game Plan provides the Golden Eagles athletic department staff with key analytics and content and gives student-athletes access to new jobs and internships that they previously didn’t have access to,” said Game Plan founder and CEO Vin McCaffrey in a statement released Tuesday.
A version of the Game Plan platform is used by 40 universities around the country to assist student athletes.
