Democratic presidential candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders has the support of 44 percent of Wisconsin voters, while Hillary Clinton has 43 percent support in the latest Marquette Law Poll released today.
In the January MU Law Poll, Clinton had 45 percent, while Sanders nabbed 43 percent of voter support. In November, Clinton led with 50 percent to Sanders’ 41 percent.
On the Republican side, Donald Trump continued to lead the Republican field among Wisconsin voters, with 30 percent of the respondents’ support. Marco Rubio garnered 20 percent, while Sen. Ted Cruz had 19 percent and John Kasich and Ben Carson both had 8 percent of voters’ support in February.
In January, Trump has 24 percent, Rubio had 18 percent and Cruz had 16 percent of respondents’ support.
In the Wisconsin Supreme Court race, incumbent Rebecca Bradley and challenger JoAnne Kloppenburg were tied at 30 percent, with 31 percent of respondents saying they didn’t know for whom they would vote.
In the Wisconsin U.S. Senate race, Democrat Russ Feingold leads Republican Ron Johnson 49 percent to 37 percent. In January, it was Feingold 50 percent and Johnson 37 percent.
This most recent Marquette Law Poll was conducted from Feb. 18 to 21 by both cell phone and landline, and included 802 registered Wisconsin voters. The respondent pool was 49 percent Democratic or leaning Democratic; 30 percent Republican or leaning Republican; and 10 percent Independent. The full sample margin of error was +/- 4.5 percent.
