Marquette University plans to build a 250,000- to 300,000-square-foot Athletic Performance Research Center in downtown Milwaukee. The facility will be built on a 12-acre site bordered by Sixth Street, 10th Street, West Michigan Street and the Marquette Interchange, extending to the Marquette campus to the east. Aurora Health Care announced recently that it would contribute $40 million to the $120 million project. Groundbreaking is expected in 2017.
