Stephen Marcus, chairman of the board of Milwaukee-based Marcus Corp., was recently honored as the Milwaukee Rotary Club’s Person of the Year for 2013.
Marcus Corp. operates Marcus Theatres and Marcus Hotels and Resorts. The company has just been recognized by Forbes Magazine as one of “America’s 100 Most Trustworthy Companies.”
In his 50 years with the company, Marcus has demonstrated exceptional leadership and helped make Milwaukee a better place to live and work, according to the Rotary Club.
Recent recipients of the Rotary Club’s Person of the Year Awards have included Angelo, Giacomo and Lauri Falluca, Mario and Cathy Costantini, John Mellowes, Tim Sullivan, George Mosher, Sue Dragisic, William Petasnick, and Hermann Viets.
Marcus is a past recipient of the BizTimes Lifetime Achievement Award.
