MANDI nominations to begin Saturday

Milwaukee’s Local Initiatives Support Corporation will accept nominations for Milwaukee Awards for Neighborhood Development Innovation (MANDI) starting Saturday, Sept. 1. The awards honor initiatives focused on progressing Milwaukee’s central city for employees, residents and students. Individuals, nonprofits, companies and projects can self-nominate or take nominations from other community members or organizations.

Award categories include: Brewers Community Foundation Public Space Award, BMO Harris Bank Cornerstone Award, Northern Trust Navigator Award, PNC Bank Trail Blazer Award, and State Farm Building Blocks Award.
Nominations will be accepted at www.LISC.ORG/Milwaukee through Wednesday, Oct. 17, at 5 p.m. The MANDI awards ceremony will be held Wednesday, March 14, 2013, at the Pfister Hotel in downtown Milwaukee.
LISC is a national organization devoted to neighborhood development and improving residents’ quality of life.
