Alliant Energy’s Iowa utility has finalized the sale of its Minnesota electric distribution system — the lines that carry electricity to customers’ homes and businesses.
The Southern Minnesota Energy Cooperative, made up of 12 member cooperatives, has purchased the network for an undisclosed price. It serves 43,000 customers.
