LULAC forms three new councils

The League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) announced the formation of three new councils in Wisconsin, including: the EBSOLA Adult Council, with president Ronald Sandoval in Kenosha; the Hermanos Youth Council, with youth advisor Jose Mendez in Kenosha; and the Hispanic Business Alliance Adult Council in Racine with president Marie Black.

"It is only fitting that during the start of Hispanic Heritage Month, we announce the creation of three new Wisconsin councils," said Darryl Morin, state director of the LULAC. "This further validates our work and achievements in the state as we continue to attract individuals of great capacity who are committed to the achievement of LULAC’s mission of advancing the economic condition, educational attainment, political influence, health and civil rights of Hispanics.”

The League of the United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) is the country’s oldest and largest Hispanic membership based organization. Within the last year, LULAC of Wisconsin has partnered with Tyson Foods to donate over 31,000 pounds of meat to the hungry, provided tens of thousands of dollars in college scholarships and launched its Better Education Together initiative.
