Local recruiter to host seminar on how to find the right job

Kevin Schulof, an executive recruiter for Milwaukee-based GROUP II, will host a seminar entitled "How to get a HOT job in a COLD market," on Tuesday, April 7 from 9:00 a.m. to noon, and 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Best Western Hotel and Conference Center, 5105 S. Howell Ave. The event will feature presentations by Michael Phelps, of Phelps Research Services who will discuss the use of Linked In as a tool for out reach and networking, and Brooke Stoll, a recruiting consultant who has experienced both agency and corporate recruiting.  It will also focus on information about tips to getting ahead in the laid off candidate pool, sample resumes, common candidate mistakes, buzz word definitions, and phone interview tips.

"I’m seeing people everyday in this laid off market not having the proper channels to understand how to get the right job," Schulof said. "I just want to show people there is a better way to look for a job in this market."

Cost of the event is $49, click here to register for the event and enter the promotion code BIZTIMES for a 50 percent discount.
