Brookfield-based electrical contractor Lemberg Electric Co. Inc. has announced a pair of company leaders to replace outgoing president and chief executive office David Washebek. Effective Monday, Mark Chappel will serve as president of Lemberg. Longtime Lemberg employee Tim Scheid will serve as CEO, and will retain his current duties as chief operating officer, a member of the board of directors and trustee for the company’s Employee Stock Ownership Plan. The new leadership comes as Washebek takes on a new role as vice president of the National Electrical Contractors Association District IV. Chappel and Scheid will be responsible for varying aspects of the strategic direction for the company and for the advancement of its mission, objectives, revenue, profitability and growth. He was involved with the addition of Lemberg's sign division in 1992, a company rebranding in 2014, its Brookfield expansion in 2016 and leadership training from 2016-2019. Chappel has been involved in the Milwaukee-are electrical industry for 35 years, with experience in leadership, business development, operations and field management. He is currently on the Milwaukee chapter of the National Electrical Contractors Association board of directors and the Milwaukee Electrical Industry Joint Apprenticeship and Training Committee. Washebek began his career at Lemberg in 1978 and saw the company transition from family owned to employee ownership in 1992 under the ESOP, in which he remains a trustee. His collaborative leadership style and professional background will fit nicely within our culture and business goals. Tim Scheid is a true servant leader and you will find no one more dedicated to the success of Lemberg Electric than him. I am 100% confident in this transition.” Lemberg was founded in 1928 and serves southeastern Wisconsin in electrical service and construction, sign design and installation, data communications, and energy management.
