What has fueled your company’s growth?
“The nation’s natural gas infrastructure has aged over time and many of the utility and natural gas pipeline companies are updating their systems to ensure continued safe and reliable delivery of natural gas.”
What is the biggest obstacle to your company’s growth?
“Ensuring that we can find a qualified workforce to perform the work. Our industry is heavily regulated and not just anyone is able to work in our industry. It is for this reason we have worked with our trade associations, clients and unions to continue to develop a qualified workforce as we have grown from 40 employees in 2005 to more than 1,000 today.”
Do you plan to make any changes to your company?
“We are looking to expand our services into Indiana as a result of numerous upcoming projects in that state. In addition, we are preparing to move into a newly remodeled corporate office by October.”
Who are the business people you admire?
“My father and mother. They taught my brothers and me the importance of hard work, following through on promises, admit when you have made a mistake and learn from it, and the importance of philanthropy and giving back to our community.”
What is the outlook for your industry?
“Extremely bullish not for just the next several months, but the next several years.”
What is your company’s most important growth strategy?
“Not to grow too fast. People can become intoxicated over growth but it has to be planned out. If not, quality, safety and profitability can be at risk.”
