Kopps-Wagner commits as March for Babies revenue chair

Jennifer Kopps-Wagner, general counsel and senior vice president of Milwaukee-based Assurant Health, will serve as revenue chair for the 2010 March for Babies, the March of Dimes biggest fundraiser.
“I’m serving as the 2010 Revenue Chair for March for Babies because I believe this is our best opportunity to bring visibility to the March for Babies,” said Kopps-Wagner. “If we can give a child a healthy birth, we’ve had a positive impact on their future quality of life.”
Kopps-Wagner is personally committed to raising $50,000 toward the March for Babies goal of $300,000 to support March of Dimes research and community programs to help moms have full-term pregnancies and to help babies begin healthy lives.
“We are honored to have Jennifer lead the way,” said Eric Petersen, the Wisconsin Chapter Chair. “When our leaders publicly stand with a cause they support, they show the whole community the value of volunteer service and community involvement.”
In Milwaukee, March for Babies will take place on April 24, 2010 at O’Donnell Park and Veteran’s Park. Businesses and individuals can sign up and raise funds online at www.marchforbabies.org/kickoff2010.
Alan Mulally, president and CEO of Ford Motor Company and Ron Gettelfinger, president of United Auto Workers, have joined forces as national co-chairs of March For Babies, with a goal of raising $100 million nationwide to improve the health of babies.
