Menomonee Falls-based Kohl’s Corp. is testing same-day delivery for online purchases in a few markets.
The retailer will deliver items ordered on Kohls.com later that day for customers in pilot areas. It’s the latest store to offer the quick delivery service as retailers gear up for the holiday shopping season.
Kohl’s also will offer additional omnichannel shopping features to make customers’ transitions between online and in-store as smooth as possible, the company said.
A customer’s virtual shopping bag is now available across all digital devices; customers can now order online on any device and pick up the items in a Kohl’s store; Kohl’s has redesigned its mobile site to improve ease of use and the checkout process; and it has redesigned its tablet app to integrate the mobile wallet and Yes2You Rewards program and its mobile app to allow customers to scan and save gift cards.
In addition, Kohl’s has added a “store mode” for its mobile app, to allow customers to search inventory at that store and push promotions like Kohl’s Cash and coupons that can be used for an in-store purchase.
And the retailer will now officially roll out its Apple Pay option for customers in retail stores, as well as Visa Checkout.
“Kohl’s is committed to providing our customers with an easy, convenient shopping experience in a way that is personalized and engaging – no matter how each customer prefers to shop,” said Kevin Mansell, Kohl’s chairman, chief executive officer and president. “Our digital teams are continually testing new ideas and capabilities to create a world-class omnichannel experience that is seamless across devices. With each evolution, we aim to elevate our offerings for an easy, inspiring shopping experience.”
