Destination Kohler, the golf and resort division of Kohler Co., will host a concert by national country music and reality TV star Kellie Pickler.

The concert will be held on Saturday, Dec. 12, at the Kohler Memorial Theatre at Kohler High School.

VIP overnight packages are available for the concert and individual tickets go on sale on Oct. 12.

Hosting concerts is a new feature for Kohler Co., which is trying to add more events in the colder weather months to help attract visitors, said spokeswoman Leslie Stachowiak. For the last two years Kohler hosted concerts by a Beatles tribute band that drew big crowds, so the company decided to explore other concert possibilities, she said.

“Our goal is to try to have a robust calendar of events,” Stachowiak said. “Things like this helps drive room nights for us.”

Pickler has released four albums, including 100 Proof in 2011, which was named the top country album of the year by Rolling Stone. She has competed on American Idol and Dancing with the Stars.
