Kohler Co. has acquired Mount Kisco, New York-based
Curtis Instruments, an electrification partner to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) in several markets. Terms of the deal were not disclosed. The acquisition was made through Kohler Power Group.
Curtis Instruments operates in 16 countries and has manufacturing locations in Puerto Rico, Bulgaria, China and India. The company employs 1,100 people globally.
Kohler Co. employs over 40,000 associates worldwide and has 50 manufacturing locations across the globe.

According to a press release, the acquisition expands and diversifies Kohler's power portfolio by leveraging Curtis' electrification expertise with Kohler's gasoline and diesel engine business to best serve off-highway OEM customers. Curtis Instruments will operate as a standalone entity within the Kohler Power Group.

News of this acquisition comes just a few days after Kohler Co. announced the company
has also acquired Massachusetts-based
Heila Technologies. Heila is also set to operate as a standalone entity within Kohler Power Group. Heila offers a modular energy platform that aims to simplify the integration, operation, optimization and scale-up of distributed energy resources.
