Key Racine County projects

•    Waukesha-based KeyBridge Development plans to build a $185 million residential and commercial development, called Pointe Blue, on the 20-acre former former Walker Manufacturing site along Lake Michigan in downtown Racine. The development will include 434 owner-occupied residences, 90 apartments, a 70-slip marina and 50,000 square feet of commercial space.

•    Mt. Pleasant plans to attract new development to 2,300 acres of undeveloped land along I-94 and Highway 20.

•    The state Department of Transportation is building a bypass around Burlington, which could open up access to more land for future development.

•    Eau Claire-based Menard Inc. is building a 160,000-square-foot Menard’s store on Highway 36 in Burlington.
