Joy Global Inc. executive vice president and chief operating officer Randal Baker is leaving the company effective Sept. 4, according to a statement. A Joy Global spokeswoman said he will be pursuing other opportunities, while an SEC filing calls the departure “a termination without cause.”
“We are appreciative of Randy’s contributions to Joy Global over his nearly six years of service with us and we wish Randy the best in his future endeavors,” said Ted Doheny, Joy Global president and chief executive officer.
The company declined to provide further comment on Baker’s departure.
Baker previously served as president of Joy Global Surface Mining Inc. from November 2009 until his appointment as COO in December 2013.
Milwaukee-based Joy Global is a mining equipment manufacturer.
