Johnson Controls will host a Green Jobs Day event on Friday, July 27, at 8 a.m. at the company’s headquarters, 5757 N. Green Bay Ave. in Glendale.
About 55 Milwaukee teens from the company’s Conservation Leadership Corps program will take part in the event, which will feature remarks from Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett highlighting the city’s green economy.
The CLC is a summer program, sponsored by Johnson Controls, the Student Conservation Association and the Milwaukee Area Workforce Investment Board, that aims to teach sustainability and leadership skills to Milwaukee teens through field conservation work.
