Glendale-based Johnson Controls has completed the $700 million sale of its HomeLink business to Zeeland, Mich.-based Gentex Corporation. The deal was announced in July.
HomeLink is a control system installed in a user’s car that allows for remote control of garage door openers, entry door locks, home lighting, security systems, entry gates and other products that utilize radio frequency.
The global diversified industrial company is in the process of selling all of its automotive electronics business segments. Johnson Controls reported the remainder of the business has been attracting a high level of interest and is expected to be finished by the end of the year.
