JoAnne Sabir joins moguls as Project Pitch It returns for fifth season

Milwaukee-area entrepreneur and Sherman Phoenix co-founder JoAnne Sabir will join Project Pitch It’s lineup of moguls for the Shark Tank-style show’s fifth season, which airs on WISN-TV Channel 12.

The new season of the show, in which entrepreneurs pitch their unique business plans and products to investors, kicks off March 20 and 21, with episodes airing Saturdays at 10:35 p.m. and Sundays at 11:30 a.m. 

Sabir returns to the show as a mogul after auditioning her company Juice Kitchen on the first season of Project Pitch It.

The fifth season features 24 startup companies whose innovative products range from automated drive-thru coffee technologies and aquaponic systems to a wash and dry service for linens, and a local magazine that highlights the successes of Milwaukee’s BIPOC community. 

Viewers will also see pitches from three student startup founders who will also have a chance to win funding or mentorship like other companies featured during the fifth season. 

In addition to Sabir, Project Pitch It moguls include former CEO of EMTEQ and co-founder of Stuck Jerry Jendusa, Gruber Law Offices founder David Gruber and former CEO and former owner of Empire Level Manufacturing Peggy Ann.

Each episode will be paired with an article written by BizTimes Media, a WISN Channel 12 media partner.

Each startup company will have a chance to win the following awards: 

Project Pitch It Cash Award

  • $10,000 cash award for startups looking to scale.

The Jendusa Lubar Entrepreneurship Center Award

  • Offers workshops, programming and support services including investment guidance and mentoring from UW-Milwaukee’s Lubar Entrepreneurship Center plus $5000

AmFam Award

  • The American Family Insurance Award will include – pairing our entrepreneur with an American Family Leader to support their advancement in all aspects of business including marketing , IT, HR and finance

Jerry’s shining stars youth award 

  • $1,500 Cash award and a mentorship with American Family Insurance
